Letty & Mike

I had a wonderful time shooting these two.  It's always fun working with friends, and it doesn't hurt that they are such a gorgeous couple.

We also did a few shots of just Letty modeling a dress, necklace, and bracelet from a wonderful local clothing boutique here in town called A Reflection of Beauty.  It is one of my favorite places to shop, and the dress Letty picked was beautiful.

So, without further ado.  Here are some of my favorite shots from Mr. and Mrs. Brockelsby's session.

Smells like cigarettes, cotton candy, and nostalgia...

Yesterday we took our littles to the Madison County Fair.  They had a blast.  It totally took me back to my own childhood...the sounds, the smells, the hot summer air.  Everything.  It all seemed about the same, and honestly the rides were probably the exact same rides I enjoyed twenty years ago, rust and all.  Tetanus shot anyone?
I loved watching my kiddos excitedly running from ride to ride, and the looks on their faces as they went round and round!  Oh, the faces they made!
There is just something oddly beautiful about old carnival rides.  Maybe I'm just a sucker for colored lights and peeling paint, but I thoroughly enjoyed the night and am excited to see what next year brings.

2nd Day of Pre-K!

I am pretty sure that I am incapable of doing anything on time.  My oldest daughter Emmaline, started pre-k yesterday.  The night before, I had carefully picked her first day outfit out, planned to write something adorable about her first day in beautiful script across one of our vintage-ish chalkboards, and still have time to take her to school, meet her classmates and turn in the rest of her paperwork.
Um... no.  It didn't happen.  Why?  Because I'm late...late late late..always late for everything. Including waking up on Emmaline's first day of Pre-K.

So here for your viewing pleasure, is Emma's second day of Pre-K.  Sans chalkboard.
